Lucknow: With a surge in case in Covid-19 continues on Sunday, 79 more people, including 14 health workers, tested positive for novel Coronavirus infection.
The number of patients with active infection status touched 278 signs for the first time in six months.
However, consolation is that most patients asymptomatic or have mild and recovery symptoms in house isolation.
Only seven people were received in various hospitals with moderate symptoms for close observations as precautions.
Health workers say that most hospitalized patients are stable.
Health care workers, who tested the positive Covid-19 on Sunday, including 11 of the leading private hospitals in Gomtinagar.
“Hospitals have been disanitized and positive staff members have been sent to house isolation.
Samples of 157 other hospital employees have been taken for testing as part of the drive tracing contact,” said Chief Medical Officer (CMO) from Manoj Agrawal.
In addition, he added, patients received at the hospital were also being tested.
Other cases include 25 with history of traveling to other countries and Indian countries and 19 family members tested positively previously.
Furthermore, at least 17 people were found to bring a virus when they were tested themselves after symptoms similar to lightweight influenza.
The health department official also appealed to people to follow the Covid protocol strictly and asked tourists to isolate themselves after arrival.
“Even though we have increased awareness at airports, bus stations, train stations and other public places such as hospitals, people need to wear masks, follow the hands of cleanliness and social distance to ensure there is no transmission,” said Dr.
Manoj.
Previously, on May 31, when the city has recorded 84 cases in a day.
After that, everyday cases continue to decline.
The number of active cases has dropped below 250 on July 1.
Meanwhile, at least 5,021 people took a vaccine photo in Lucknow on Sunday.
The drive was carried out at 108 centers where 3,561 people took the second dose and 1,460 got the first.
