Having a constant spike in Covid-19 instances, the Heritage City is currently in need of doctors.
But, it appears hiring new physicians has come to be a tricky job for its Mysuru District Administration.
Even after being provided a hefty quantity of salary, no more fresh physicians are coming to board.

Lately, the district management and Mysuru Medical College proposed to employ fresh MBBS graduates to get a two-year job.
Regrettably, not over 15 candidates left it into the meeting.
The district government was made to ask more applicants to attend the meeting.
Sources in the district government disclosed a significant salary package was provided to each candidate — Rs two lakh for senior physicians, Rs 1.
10 lakh for routine physicians, Rs 60,000 for licensed physicians and Rs 28,000 for staff nurses.
All the 20 available articles from the Pulmonologist section stay vacant.
Just 1 offender was shortlisted from 22 articles in Anaesthesia.

There were not any candidates for other articles including Oxygen Technologists, X-Ray along with ICU Technologists sections.
From 337 personnel nurses, just 108 applicants were chosen.
From 50-D Group employees, just eight were contested.
Two candidates were chosen for Ventilator Technologists.

Are they fearful?

The district government is attempting every possible means to find new physicians on board, however it’s largely the fear of becoming infected that’s preventing them away from the frontline.
Many senior physicians who have spanned 60 years have been responsible for becoming infected, as most frontline employees have lost their own lives.
Additionally chances of these contracting the virus for their family are extremely large.
Many physicians are also not thinking about this proposition as a six-month job is temporary and doesn’t suit their own requirements.

Talking to Bangalore Mirror, Dr C Nanjaraj, dean and director, Mysuru Medical College, stated,”Cases are rising in town, are the passing prices.
This is an important time for everybody and much more frontline employees are required to serve the town.
Hopefullythe district government is going to have a perfect call for this and more physicians will soon be hired”
