Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 772 new Covid-19 cases and 7 deaths on Wednesday even when the number of active cases in the country decreased to 11,472.
The total count of cases from the beginning of the pandemic last year, stood at 6.29,054 and the death toll was 3,710.
The number of active detention zones in the country fell to 46.
There are currently no active micro detention zones in Hyderabad while Mahabubabad with 16 and Bhadadri Kothagudem with 9 micro detention zones have the majority of active detention zones in the state.
A total of 748 patients were declared recovered on Wednesday, taking a total count of patients recovered to 6.13,874.
Case Fatality Rate (CFR) stood at 0.58% while the recovery rate increased to 97.58% now.
So far 79.8% of the overall cases in the country have asymptomatic while 20.2% have been symptomatic.
On Wednesday, 1,10,141 samples were tested for Coronavirus novels.
Telangana has now finished testing 1.93 crore samples and has reached 5.20 lakh testing sample per million populations.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded 87 new cases on Wednesday, while Medchal Malkajgiri near 35 cases, Ranga Reddy recorded 35 and Sanga Reddy recorded 10 cases, continuing a decline in trends around the city of Hyderabad.
Outside the city of Hyderabad and its edges, Mahabubabad, Vicarabad, Bhadadri Kothagudem and Manceriyal saw more cases.
