Thiruvananthapuram: Design of documents about the reopening of the school, prepared together by the Ministry of Public Education and the Ministry of Health, has directed all schools to maintain a Covid-19 test register and arrange sick rooms for students identified with covid symptoms.
Education Minister V Sivankutty and Health Minister Veena George on Tuesday together handed over the design of the document to Pinarayi Vijayan’s main minister for his permission.
The document of almost 15 pages is the result of a 15-day consultation conducted by the Minister of Education has done with the stakeholders and the government’s main department, ahead of the reopening of the school scheduled for 1.

Classes in the first phase will be arranged in Forenoon.
Based on the strength of students from each school, students will be separated into batches.
However, the grouping guidelines will not apply to schools with smaller number of students.
Different students will not be allowed to attend offline classes in the initial phase.
The number of students attending schools on certain days will be limited according to available infrastructure facilities.
The report was studied to propose to recognize only one student per bench in the primary class and two in higher classes.
There will be no class for class VIII and IX during the initial phase reopened.
The presence and uniform will not be mandatory for students and classes will be arranged on all working days.
Although the previous minister hinted that teachers might have to handle classes on Saturdays too, the final decision on things like that had not been made.
The digital class will continue even after the reopening of some school.
