JAMSHEDPUR: The administration of the East Singhbhum District has requested health and administrative officials to ensure that every individual who comes to the Regency is subject to a mandatory Covid-19 sample testing at the checkpoint in front of Diwali and Chhath.
To see that officials entrusted with the responsibility of doing work sincerely, adm (law and order), Nand Kishore Lal, made a random visit to 14 examinations both at the Odisha and Bengal borders or anchored to the singhbhum regency and docked West.
“Together with the examination points between countries and inter-districts, the train station and remote bus terminal are two other places where Covid-19 outsiders who come to the district are being carried out,” Lal said.
Between July 1 and October 20, a total of 1,45,629 people have arrived in the district by train, the 13th is a positive Covid-19 while the sample during the examination.
Likewise, 37,915 people have come to the district through the road during the same period, where 11 was tested positively.
Between October 10 and 20, a total of 14 positive cases were detected and 31 infected recovered, indicating a higher recovery rate than the level of infection.
“The Covid test of the samples collected during Puja Durga, Diwali and Chhat will determine how safe we are from the Coronavirus, therefore the urge is in preventive measures,” added additional medical heads, (ACMO), Sahir Pall.
The district has reported 51,952 positive cases, where 50,875 has recovered, 1,058 surrendered to disease and 19 active cases in treatment, until Wednesday.
With a recovery rate of 97.93 percent, this district reported a quick recovery but the focus was to ensure zero infection, official said.
Urban circles, which have reported 43,832 positive cases with 42,806 recovery and 1,004 deaths so far, remain a major administrative concern.
With active cases that report from various parts of the city, officials have decided to intensify the activities induced to make the crowd adhere to the appropriate behavior of Covid.
“With the market who witnessed the crowd because the festival, the commander and incident officials were asked to increase the steps to see that the Covid protocol was followed properly,” ACMO added.
Garment, footwear and jewelry shopkeepers say rules for checking crowding and social distance are a welcome step but limited lockdown on Sundays must be appointed to help sellers and buyers, until the festival season.
