Mangaluru: Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) has made a test for Covid-19 mandatory for all staff in hotels and restaurants in the city.
Commissioner MCC Akshy Sridhar said the decision to make a compulsory RT-PCR test for staff in hotels and restaurants was taken after a surge in Covid-19 cases throughout the city.
“It will be mandatory for hotel and restaurant staff within the MCC limit to undergo the COIVD-19 test.
For public comfort, all urban health care centers have conducted Covid tests at night.
The general public, including hotel staff and restaurants with this was asked to use Covid testing facilities are optimal, “said Commissioner.
