Patna: Chairman of the Minister of Nitish Kumar on Saturday ordered a compulsory covid test from those who reached the country of places such as Mumbai, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
He asked the health department official to maintain a special vigil to people who arrived at the country train station and bus standing from outside Bihar.
Nitish issued these instructions at the meeting to review the current status of the Covid-19 test, vaccination and viral fever cases among children.
He asked the officials concerned to make arrangements for the Covid test at the train station and all important buses stand in the state.
When reviewing the Covid-19 situation in the state, CM asks health and doctor officials to increase the number of tests to two lakh per day and also increase the rate of vaccination in rural areas through a special drive.
Expressing concern over the cases of virus fever among children, Nitish asks health officials to remain vigilant and active for the treatment of affected children.
“Ensure that the availability of drugs is sufficient at the hospital for the treatment of children suffering from viral fever and also inform and educate people about the steps taken by the Ministry of Health to examine the case of viral fever,” officials said.
Cm then request an administration to ensure that people wear masks and maintain social distance.
He said the mask was also effective in preventing other viral diseases, in addition to checking the spread of Covid-19.
Previously, the main secretary of the Department of Health Pratyaya Amrit, through a presentation, told CM about the steps taken to protect children from viral fever.
He also made a detailed presentation of the Covid-19 situation in the state and vaccination.
Pratyaya told CM about arrangements made in different medical college hospitals and district hospitals for the treatment of children suffering from viral fever.
