Mumbai: Health Minister Maharashtra Rajesh Tope said that the third wave of the Coronavirus pandemic was estimated in December but it would be mild in its impact.
Talking with the news channel, he said medical oxygen and ICU bed would not be needed during the third wave period.
“The third wave is expected to be mild and medical oxygen and ICU beds will not be needed,” he said.
Speaking of the Covid-19 scenario at this time, Tope said as 80 percent of residents were vaccinated in Maharashtra, the level of infection and the level of mortality was lacking today.
Maharashtra has recorded an infection of 766 Covid-19 and 19 deaths in the previous 24 hours Tuesday even when active cases in this country remain below 10,000 for the third consecutive day, the Ministry of Health has said on Tuesday.
Maharashtra count from the Covid-19 case reached 66.31,297 on Tuesday.
Tope said the first wave of the Coronavirus pandemic was experienced in September 2020 and the second in April 2021.
Tope said he had met the Mansukh Mandaviya Health Minister Mansukhiya last week looking for a vaccine center for health workers, front lines of workers, senior citizens and vulnerable parts and strive to analyzed Children in the age group 12 to 18 years against Coronavirus.
“Mandaviya said he would discuss this problem with ICMR and return,” Tope added.
