The private housing community or the association of welfare residents is also not allowed to gather for celebrations.
Only restaurants and hotels that serve food are allowed to function up to 11pm by following the Covid-19 protocol, with management told to ensure that all employees are fully vaccinated, according to the advisor from GCP.
Police Commissioner Shankar Jiwal has asked the public not to gather at the Marina, Elliot, Neelankarai and the East Coast Road (ECR) or to park the vehicle on the arterial road (Anna Salai, Rajaji Salai, RK, Kamarajar Salai and GST) for each celebration.
As a precautionary measure, the police have truly prohibited the movement of vehicles along the coast of Marina and Elliot and stretching connecting war war with a statue of Gandhi.
Jiwal appealed to the public to follow the corresponding behavior of Covid (taxi), a warning about the possibility of the spread of omicron.
