Bhubaneswar: Covid’s official death toll in the state across 4,000 on Wednesday with 48 fatalities, the highest in one day, so far.
The government has reported more than 40 deaths a day since June 2, with the exception of five of them when the official mortality rate is under 40.
At seven, Khurda saw the highest number of deaths, took the victim to 647.
From this, 445 deaths came from Bhubaneswar.
Khurda was followed by Sundargarh with 353 deaths at all.
