Dehradun: The Uttarakhand government on Tuesday canceled Kanwar Yatra considering the third wave of Covid-19 which was possible, said the source.
It was for the second consecutive year that Yatra was not detained because of a pandemic.
The Indian Medical Association has also written to the Head of Minister of Pushkar Singh Dhami recently asked him not to allow Yatra to continue the interests of countries and countries.
Previously on that day, Minister of Pushkar Singh Dhami said that even though Kanwar Yatra was part of a culture, saving his life at the time of the Pandemic was the most important.
Yatra Fortnight-Long which began with the onset of the Moon Shravan by the Hindu calendar lasted until the first week of August and saw a large meeting of Kanwariyas in Haridwar from neighboring countries including Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Delhi to collect Holy Ganga waters.
