Covid: Uttarakhand sends 8,000 tourist vehicles

Dehradun: As part of the efforts of the Uttarakhand government to reduce crowding in tourist attractions such as Mussorie and Nainital, around 8,000 tourist vehicles were sent back over the weekend.
According to Uttarakhand Deputy Inspector General of Police (dig) Nilesh Anand Bharane, the checkpoint has also been set on the state border.
Tourists have been told that they must have a negative RT-PCR test, previous hotel bookings and registration on the online portal.
“After the video became a large viral crowd of bathing in Kempty Falls, the Uttarakhand government had taken steps to control the number of tourists.
People have been given notice to bring a negative RT-PCR report and register on the online portal,” Bharean said.
“Tourists are also told that if they don’t book hotels before their visit, they can be sent back.
Posting border checks have been installed on the country’s borders and around 4,000 vehicles each from MUSSOORIE and Nainital are sent back,” he added.
, He further appealed to people to consider other popular goals such as Bhimtal, Ranikhet and Landsdowne to avoid large crowds.
This happened amid fears of violations of the Covid protocol at the hill station because the state government gradually lifted the limit of locking.
