NEW DELHI: The Delhi government has floated a worldwide expression of interest (EOI) for procurement of Covid-19 vaccine on a urgent basis.
The supplied Covid-19 vaccine has to be approved by competent authority of the government of India, the Directorate General of Health Services stated from the EOI document.
“The Health and Family Welfare Department of NCT of Delhi plans to secure SARS-Cov2 vaccine on a urgent basis to control and purge the spread of this COVID-19 pandemic.
International Expression of Interest will be invited from global producers of COVID-19 disease or their licensed representatives or by direct importers with proper license to export the vaccine from India,” the report.
The bidders are requested to submit their deal or expression of curiosity during email by 5 pm June 7.
The central government has thus far accepted three vaccines to be used in India — both Covishield, Covaxin and also Russia’s Sputnik V.
