Mumbai: almost 10 days since the country’s immunization program launched a booster shot against Covid-19 for important workers and people above 60, the response was less enthusiastic in the state.
Maharashtra has provided 4.63 lakh doses of more than 60 lakhs delivered in this country.
This cessation is very slow among health care workers, which is the first person who is vaccinated against Covid in the country.
Since January 10, of more than 4 lakh health workers who qualified (HCW), almost 40% (1.6 lakh) have taken it.
The numbers are slightly better for frontline workers (FLW), where only 42% or 1.3 lakh from almost 3 lakh meets the requirements has taken their caution.
More senior citizens (1.4 lakh) have taken cautious shots compared to FLWS.
More than doubts, a raging omicron wave might be responsible for low absorption.
Dr.
Rahul Pandit, an intensive and member of the Covid-19 state assignment unit, said that in every medical institution, almost 30-40% of health service workers have caught infection in the past few weeks.
“Their booster shot is now easily postponed by at least 2-3 months.
But for those who don’t have Covid recently, they don’t have to delay taking caution shots,” he said.
In Mumbai, many HCW had taken a booster before the formal launch of the third shot and who could mention the official figure, the head of the hospital said.
The city has provided Booster Shots to 32,466 HCWS, 41,403 FLWS and 27,174 senior citizens.
Closer views of the district level show show that larger urban districts mainly form the amount.
In the three groups, Mumbai, Pune and Thane lead.
As many as 23 districts are below the country average when it comes to FLWS, while in the case of health workers, 26 districts are below the average.
Variations between high-performance districts and low are Stark.
Compared to Raigad, which includes 4,259 flws, the highest (86%), the bulldhana has succeeded in giving a third shot of only 5% or 200.
Among HCWS, Bhandara has covered 100% of 3,300 beneficiaries that meet the requirements, while Gadchiroli increases slightly from 400 (9%).
Only those who had finished nine months since their second shot was eligible to get a booster.
Dr.
Anil Rudey, Civil Surgeon Gadchiroli, said the districts dominated by the tribe had slowed received two first two doses.
“At present, the reason can be an infection between the front lines in large quantities,” he said, adding that he was in my own isolation after testing positive.
