Bengaluru: Residents of the apartment complex and gated communities returning to Bengaluru after traveling between countries are mandated to bring RT-PCR negative reports (no more than 72 hours).
If they don’t bring such reports, they must be mandatory to undergo a RPCR test and remain in the quarantine of the house until the results come out.
This is part of the latest steps announced by the Superior Commissioner of the BBMP Gaurav Gupta in the background of increasing the number of Covid clusters and detention zones in the city.
There are more than 160 registration zones in the city and half of these are apartments.
Children above 3 to use masks in open space: BBMPIN notes for the Association of Resident Welfare (RWAS) and Apartment Management Committees, Housing, and Gated Communities, Gupta stated: “If there are residents between states, it is recommended to ensure they are tested .
This rule will also be applied for official travel.
“Keep counselor for freeing them who was fully vaccinated from producing negative test reports.
While emphasizing strict compliance with the Covid protocol such as masking and distance, the main commissioner records suggest an association and apartment committee to maintain a complete list of all non-residen visits or access complexes.
While it allows public areas to use with the appropriate behavior of Covid, the association / committee must ensure that these places are not converted into socialization or meeting points for occupants.
The BBMP record states that children over three years must wear masks while in open space / drama and group class / group behavior / group activities must be avoided.
Gupta states that if three or more cases are reported in 100 meters in the housing society or a gated community, it will be declared clusters and the house, along with all the houses side by side within 100 meters, will be notified as a detention zone.
In the case of the apartment, if the cluster is detected on a single floor, the floor along with one below and on it will be declared the detention zone.
The detention zone will remain active for a minimum of 14 days from the date of the positive case declaration detected last.
BBMP directives advise RWA to form a task force for effective communication, supervision and detention of Covid.
RWA has been ordered not to satigatize, harass or abuse every residents of the affected family.
