Pune: Chaos wins because booking online on the Cowin Portal shows the availability of covishield, along with Covaxin, for the age group 15-18 years for several hours on Monday, the first day when the mass vaccination of the category against Covid began across the country.
Bharat Biotech Covaxin is currently the only vaccine that has been included in the state vaccination program for those aged 15 to 18 years.
“This problem applies temporarily for one or two hours after the Cowin portal update, as much as it is randomized to order an online slot.
This causes some early chaos and confusion in several centers on Monday.

They can also create new accounts through a unique cellphone number.
People in this age group can also be registered in a place by verifiers or people who manage vaccines.
They can order online appointments as well as in vaccination centers.
Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has advised the State and the United States to provide separate vaccination centers, session sites, queues, and different inoculation teams for the 15-18 year age group to avoid mixing vaccines.
