New Delhi: Covishield resulted in 93% protection against Covid, while the deaths of infection fell 98% during the second wave driven by the Delta variant, officials cited the study of the effectiveness of vaccines carried out by Medical Forces (AFMC) universities.
This study was conducted in 15 doctors lakh and frontline workers at AFMC managed with Covishield.

VK Paul said underlining the role of vaccination to protect against Death and infection.
He, however, also highlights the need to follow the appropriate behavior of Covid because there are no vaccines that can guarantee protection against infection.
“There is no vaccine that guarantees that the infection will not occur but a serious illness is prevented and almost removed,” he said.
Underpointing that all vaccines available in India effectively against Delta variants, officials said the Indian Medical Research Council also studied their effectiveness of the Delta Plus variant and the results would be analyzed and will be distributed.
