New Delhi: Covishield resulted in 93% protection against Covid, while the deaths of infection fell 98% during the second wave driven by the Delta variant, officials cited the study of the effectiveness of vaccines carried out by Medical Forces (AFMC) universities.
This study was conducted in 15 doctors lakh and frontline workers at AFMC managed with Covishield.

Underpointing that all vaccines available in India effectively against Delta variants, officials said the Indian Medical Research Council also studied their effectiveness of the Delta Plus variant and the results would be analyzed and will be distributed.
