Ahmedabad: A bull made to stand on the roadside by the owner pulled Iron Police, who found the animal blocking the traffic movement and ordering his owner to violate the rules of traffic and atrocities against him.
According to police Sola, the team control department of Animal Disorders Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) on the afternoon of July 30 found an ox that stood on the path near the Damru circle in the Chanakyapuri area.
The team restored oxen and sent a notification to the owner, Ajay Patni, a vegetable vendor from Ghatlodia, for leaving his animal with negligence.
The AMC team then told the police and they began an investigation into the owner.
During the investigation, the police concluded that Patni had made its outs as a way that blocked the commuter path and violated traffic rules.
Police personnel said the owner also showed atrocities against animals by keeping it on the road and not in a safe place.
Patni said he always justified the ox on the roadside in a way that would not deter traffic.
He said he distanced him from his vegetable cart so he would not eat his vegetables and make him lose.
The police confirmed their actions by saying that vehicles or animals cannot be left on the edge of the trail because they can block the way other people.
The police submitted such cases based on complaints by the previous AMC authority too.
In September 2019, Police Ellisbridge had booked a horse owner to tether it near the flyover near Gujarat College and blocked others.
