Pune: Two new categories in Cowin Portal are centralized for teachers and non-teaching staff hoping to accelerate full immunization for this important segment as many states throughout the country plan to reopen the school for physical classes after Diwali.

Earlier this month, Niti Aayog VK Paul members said that nearly 50% had been vaccinated.
“It is very important for teachers and school support or non-teaching staff to be fully vaccinated as part of preparation to reopen the school,” Arora said.
Education Minister Union Dharmendra Pradhan has indicated that the inoculation of these two groups will be needed to restore school education which is disturbed by the pandemic in March 2020.
The school has been closed for almost 18 months after the Covid-19 outbreak increases concerns about cognitive and physical growth of children.
“I asked all state governments to provide their support and cooperation to this campaign to strengthen the future foundation,” Pradhan said in a recent tweet.
Experts say the state and the United States can use the DOCELACIAL district information system from educational data and coordinate with their education department, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sanghtan, Navodaya Vidyalaya Sanghtan to utilize the full immunization of teachers and non-teaching staff.
