Nagpur: Amitesh Kumar City Police Chief on Monday states that only green crackers will be allowed during the Diwali Festival, it also until 10pm, Report Soumitra Bose.Kumar, who will use security for DIWALI buyers, said footsteps like Itwari , Expensive, sitabuldi and so on has increased.
He appealed to residents to be alert to small thieves.
“Our patrols, CCTV supervision and vigilance will be present in every crowded place and the market but residents must also be careful about their goods and valuables,” Said.Kumar also asked residents to obey the norms of green crackers.
“A joint meeting of the police, Maharashtra Pollution Control Board and Cracker Seller Association will be held to determine the action,” he said.
“If there is a fresh guideline, we will adopt or the other norms that last year will be followed,” Top Police said.
He added a strict guard will keep pickpockets in crowded places.
Kumar also added that Bandobast Diwali will be made tight like that during Navratri when there are cases of chain strike or pickpockets are allowed to take place
