Thiruvananthapuram: Even when Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has succeeded in unthinking the Governor of State of State Arif Mohammed Khan and persuaded him to sign the Amendment Regulation of Lok Ayukta’s action, Secretary of the CPI Kanam Kanam Rajendran rejected any changes in his side.
Openly expressing the CPI displeasure of the way the government quickly tracked amendments, Kanam said there was no discussion held in the LDF.
“There was no discussion on the LDF regarding the amendment proposal.
The CPI has not been convinced about what the government’s emergency emergency encourages Amendments Lok Ayukta acting through regulations.
We are still opposing amendments.
The governor might be convinced of the same need, but we do not,” said Rajendran told reporters here on Monday.
Rajendran said each party had the right to express their views on amendments when introduced in assembly as a bill.
When asked whether the CPI would hold a discussion with CPM for the amendment, he asked the purpose of what would be served by placing a cart before the horse.
For questions about the silence of the CPI ministers when the regulations were placed in the cabinet, Kanam said he could not answer questions like he was not a member in the cabinet to tell what happened there.
Meanwhile, CPM leadership continues to underestimate CPI criticism.
CPM leader and local government minister MV Govindan said the governor signed the regulation because cm could cleanse doubts submitted by the governor regarding regulatory relevance.
However, Govindan refused to comment on Kanam’s statement.
The CPM Secretariat last week decided to hold a discussion with CPI on the procedure.
LDF held Vijayaraghavan refused to react to CPI criticism.
“What they say is their own opinion.
But that does not mean that there is a lack of consensus in LDF.
If there are at all, we will discuss and solve it.
LDF is ready to discuss any issue,” he said.
