Thiruvananthapuram: The CPM State Secretariat has given instructions to all party committees to organize independence day celebrations in such a way that they will be included in public notifications, the contribution of the Indian Communist Party with the struggle for the freedom of the state.
“The celebration of the 75th Independence Day will be arranged in a way that will help the party bring the people played by the Communist parties in the struggle of Indian independence and the contribution of the Communist parties in the modern Indian building,” said the CPM State Secretariat in A statement here on Tuesday.
“The 75th Independence Day will be used to expose BJP and RSS that does not play any role in the struggle of Indian independence and work with the aim of damaging the concept of secular India,” said the statement.
The independence day, said the statement, will be celebrated by unfurling tri-color flags in the party office, complying with the Covid-19 protocol.
All party units must advance to celebrate the celebration of independence day, he added.
However, the State President of BJP K Surendran said CPM’s call for the celebration of independence day by the rank of parties and files was the peak of hypocrisy.
“The party that betrayed the freedom movement has now decided to celebrate the independence day.
For more than a decade after independence, this left strength said that independence is a hoax.
They are now trying to win the freedom movement,” he said.
