Kolkata: In a change in attitude following a West Bengal assembly poll where he failed to open an account, CPM had hinted that he was ready to hand in hand with the Trinamool Congress to fight BJP at the national level.
Front left-LED CPM, Congress, and the new Indian Secular Front formed (ISF) formed an alliance and contested assembly selection held earlier this year and the parties have stated that both TMC and BJP are their main enemies.
Like the left party, the congress also draws empty in elections while ISF appears as a winner in a single seat.
“We are ready to work with an anti-BJP party.
This is our attitude whenever the need arises for a big movement to the forces of split from Kashmir to Kanyakumari,” Member of the CPM Politburo Biman Bose told reporters about the question of whether the party would be with TMC to prevent BJP Starting to power in the selection of Lok Sabha 2024.
Bose, also the head of the West Bengal front, talking to reporters on the sidelines of a meeting in Tamluk in the Purba District of Medinipur on Sunday.
However, the top CPM sources said that Bose’s comments did not indicate a shift immediately in the party’s attitude when he made a response to the reporter’s request.
“To influence important changes in terms of policy, the parties must pass the resolution after taking problems at the country’s committee meeting,” said a senior party leader.
On a sustainable problem with the alliance with Congress, Bose said, “So far we are worried, we don’t break the relationship with anyone.” TMC Supremo and Head of State Minister for Mamata Banerjee who seemed to try to take a bigger role in national politics before the Sabha’s selection in 2024, on Monday departed to Delhi on a five-day visit.
He is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several opposition leaders rank Front.
