CPM Party Congress was held in Kannur

Thiruvananthapuram: CPM Party Congress will be held in Kannur in April next year.
This was decided at the party center committee meeting.
However, the central committee has decided that party meetings will be rescheduled if the third wave of pandemics hit hard in the country.
It was decided to start all state conferences from October this year.
“District conferences will begin in September and the State Conference will begin in October.
It was decided to regulate the Party Congress in April next year,” said CPM Politbiro Prakash Karat, in New Delhi after a meeting of the Central Committee on Sundays.
The last party congress held in the state was in 2012 in Kozhikode.
The State Committee has submitted a proposal before the central committee to hold a party congress in the Kannur or Kollam this year.
It was in the background of a spectacular party victory for consecutive government in the state that the Central Committee decided to hold a party congress in Kerala itself.
The Central Committee also reviewed the results of the election of the West Bengal and Kerala State Assembly.
The party had received a severe drum in West Bengal.
The committee also discussed the preparation that the party had to do for the election of the upcoming assembly in Tripura in 2023.
Learned that in the Central Committee meeting, the leadership of the West Benggal Party was under the wrong attack for the policies they took in the latest assembly elections.
The committee was studied to observe that the bond with the Congress was not well received by the people and therefore was one reason for the gloomy performance of the party.
Leaders argue that the party conference must develop concrete steps to rejuvenate party cadres in West Bengal.
