LUCKNOW: About the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the excise division started a 15-day enforcement push on June 1 to crack the whip on illegal sale of spirits.
An senior excise official stated the goal of this driveway was supposed to reduce fabrication, sale and smuggling of illegal liquor from the nation.
Throughout the driveway, combined raids were conducted with the groups of excise, administration and police officials and 132 cases were enrolled throughout the state.
The groups also regained 4,813 minutes of spirits and ruined 12,250 pound’lahan’ (raw material employed in preparing illegal liquor) around the place.
The teams arrested 50 people and captured vehicles.
An FIR was lodged in Kannauj contrary to a liquor store owner and two individuals were detained after the retrieval of illegal spirits, counterfeit QR codes along with other gear at state liquor store at Talgram bus rack.
The license of the store was also suspended.
In a second raid in Hardoi, at 1,200 bottles of prohibited tincture were retrieved by a jeep from Baghauli police station place.
Cops seized the car and lodged an FIR against the accused.
On May 29, the authorities had issued instructions for all state commissioners, police commissioners, district magistrates, DIGs, SSPs and SPs to represent groups of government and excise officials and also establish a 15-daylong authorities drive.
