Biharsharif: Nalanda District Habistrate (DM), Yogendra Singh, has claimed that more than 75% of the construction of the Cum-Sports Academy International Stadium in Rajgir has finished.
If everything goes well, it will be ready before the March 22 2022 deadline set by art, culture and minister of youth, Alok Ranjan.
Spreading over 90 hectares of land, the sophisticated stadium in Pilkhi Panchayat in Rajgir will accommodate 45,000 people at once.
It will also have an indoor and outdoor sports complex and facilities such as playgrounds, research centers, the latest equipment, fitness centers, libraries and motivational centers.
“The final touch is being given to a five-story hostel that will accommodate 400 trainees.
Work on the construction of other hostels, two-story dining rooms, Coach Suites, staff quarter, and halls for billiards, archery, and shooting will be finished soon,” DM said told This reporter on Saturday.
Meanwhile, senior officials examined sustainable work at the Cricket Stadium on Friday and shared the progress made by a construction company with the main minister (cm) Kumar’s main secretary, Kumar Chanchal.
He directs them to tie more workers to ensure that construction is completed before the deadline.
At present, 1,500 workers are involved in the project.
CM has laid the foundation for the Academy of Stadium-Cum-Sports International in 2018 and the executive agent, the Shapoorji Pallonji group, should have completed its construction in 2020.
However, the work was delayed due to Covid-19 pandemic.
