Criminals fled with ATMs containing RS 5L on Patna

Patna: Criminals fell asleep after removing the Idbi Bank Automatic Teller (ATM) engine containing around Rs 5.75 Lakh in Amhara Village under the Bihta Police Station area in West Patna on Saturday.
After paying attention to the engine missing from the kiosk, the local residents told the police around 8am.
Amhara Bank Branch Manager Idbi, Shanu Kumar, then filed an official complaint with the police.
Sho from the Bihta Police Station Raja Raj said through a closed circuit television camera (CCTV) installed at the ATM kiosk, it was unclear how many criminals were involved in theft.
“The incident occurred between 1.30 in the morning and 1.50 in the morning.
One criminal cut CCTV cable.
Introduction Investigation revealed that the criminals first tried to cut the machine’s cash but failed.
They then pull out the engine and escape with it in the SUV,” he added.
Shanu Kumar, Bank Branch Manager, said he rushed to the place after being told about the incident by the local residents just to find a lost ATM.
This is the second incident in the district in the last two months.
Previously, a group of criminals had revoked the ATM containing Rs 20 Lakh in the Phulwarisharif area.
