Nagpur: Central Railway (CR) has set the highest shipping record for April-October 2021, containing more than 41 MT in the past seven months.
This is more than 30% more than last year (2019-20), when it has been loaded 31.46 MT.
Officials said, “loading of central train transportation in October 2021 was also the best in October, with 6.17 MT shipping by opposing 5.75 MT in October 2020, registering a 7.5% increase.” Anil Kumar Lahoti, General Manager, Central Railway, said, “We have exceeded the target of more than 6 MT loading this month.
This higher shipping loading is mainly associated with initiative taken by the Business Development Unit (BDU) which is set at the zone level and Division.
“Lahoot also said that transportation transportation by train is the safest, fastest, and most environmentally friendly choice available for customers and central trains are exploring all possible ways to improve the performance of goods transportation loading.

Coal loading from Nagpur has increased from 758 rakes in October 2020 to 864 rakes in 2021.

Pune Division has brought in the loading of the car on NMG Rakes, after containing 33 rakes from the total loading of 45 rakes on the central train line.
