NEW DELHI: Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Director General Kuldeep Singh has been on Saturday given extra cost of National Investigation Agency (NIA) main since the incumbent DG of this anti-terrorist agency would be to retire at the end of the month.
The Ministry of Home Affairs delegated the extra cost to Singh, also a 1986-batch West Bengal cadre officer, that has been tackling the article of CRPF Director General since March 16 this season.
Singh will change his senior YC Modi, a 1984-batch IPS officer, that is to retire May 31.
“Consequent upon superannuation of both YC, Modi, Director General NIA on May 31, 2021, the competent authority has accepted that Kuldeep Singh, DG CRPF will hold additional cost of the post of DG, NIA, until the appointment and linking of their successor or till farther orders whichever is sooner,” miserable the Home Ministry arrangement.
Singh was named since DG, CRPF around September 30, 2022–that the date of the superannuation.
