CRPF Jawan, 2 others are held to supply weapons to Maois

Ranchi: Jharkhand Anti-Terrorism (ATS) forces have arrested three people, including the Central Reserve Police forces (CRPF) Jawan posted on Pulwama, to supply weapons and ammunition to CPI (Maois) and other criminal organizations in the state.
The defendant was identified as Avinash Kumar aka Chhunu Sharma, CRPF Jawan posted with the 182nd Battalion, Rishi Kumar and Pankaj Kumar Singh.
A total of 450 rounds of 5.56 mm ammunition used in Insas rifles were restored based on their information.

According to the police Avinash was currently posted on Pulwama but he has not joined the task for the past four months with medical reasons.
He was recruited at the CRPF in 2011 and has served in Lowerhar and Jagdalpur.

Pankaj, which is engaged in coal and land trade in Dhanbad, is related to Jharkhand weapons suppliers, Bihar, Assam and Nagaland.
He supplied weapons and ammunition to Rishi and other people, added the police.
