New Delhi: A total of four CRPF personnel were killed and three injuries on Monday in the case of Fratricide at the CRPF camp in the Sukma Chhattisgarh district.
The incident occurred at around 330 in the morning after a jawan opened the fire in the 50th CRPF battalion camp in Lingampalli Village from the district, around 400 km from the state capital of Raipur, Inspector General of Police (Range of Bastar) Sundarraj P said.
According to the initial information, a Jawan fired a shot into his colleagues with his service weapon, the AK-47 rifle, the official said.
Jawan was immediately held and his interrogation was taking place, he said.
Injured personnel have been treated at a local hospital, said police officials (with inputs from agencies)
