Thane / Pune: Thane’s BJP MLC Niranjan Davkhare has fired charges that connect Kiran Gosavi, an independent witness of the narcotics control bureau in drug cases, with his family’s business, said it was a case of wrong identity and a rushed effort to slander party images.
Davkhare told the media on Saturday the campaign that went viral immediately after NCP MLA Nawab Malik’s Friday Press Conference (claiming Gosavi, who was recently arrested, was a stakeholder in his family company) was wrong.
He said there were two different people with the same name and microbiologists called Kiran Gosavi were directors at his wife’s company.
Davkhare said he was considering a complaint to the cyber police.
Meanwhile, Pune Police put forward a new case against Gosavi and a woman on Friday for allegedly cheating three people around Rs 4 Lakh with the pretext of offering work abroad in 2020.
They also received complaints of cheating on him.
