Nagpur: The Civil District of Surgeon (CS) Dr.
VD Paturkar has issued a notification to treat multispection hospitals and critical care centers, Wadi, directed them to close the hospital.
Although four patients died in large fires on April 12, and lack of various permits and safety systems, private hospitals had continued operations in a month.
Toi has been on November 13 highlighting violations and attachment from CS even though the Wadi City Council has sent a letter asking to close the hospital.
Paturkar told Tii, “I received detailed information from the City Council of Wadi about violations at the hospital.
I issued a notice of directing the hospital to stop medical practice with the direct effect a few days ago.” Asked about the validity of the permits provided by him, Paturkar said, said “The hospital does not comply with all the permits and safety steps needed for the operation.
Therefore, I did not renew the registration once in my term.” A official from the CS office said that hospital registration was late on April 1, and not yet updated .
Paturkar also said his office sent a copy of the notification issued to the hospital to the interested authorities to act.
“Now is the responsibility of the relevant authority to ensure the closure of the hospital, because we do whatever is needed from our side,” he said.
On Wednesday, hospitals are still operational.
Dr.
Rahul Thawre from the hospital said, “We did not receive a notification from CS aiming to close the hospital.
I am outside the city so you have to verify.
We haven’t committed a violation, so every question about the action doesn’t appear at all.
Everything is in the hospital .
“The hospital operates on the second floor, third and fourth commercial buildings – Pooja Chambers.
There are commercial shops on the floor and the first floor.
In accordance with the notification of the Wadi City Council, the building has no sanctions and building fire plans.
Also, the building does not have parking.
The hospital has placed the oxygen cylinder in the side margins of the building with an oxygen supply system.
Material flammable stored on the stairs and generators operate under the stairs.
The building also does not have a second ladder.
Wadi’s police had ordered Thawre in the death of four patients in a fire.
