Kanpur: All Indian Chess Federation (AICF) has decided to delay the upcoming national championship for junior and sub-junior groups to be held this month because of the new Corona pandemic wave.
AICF, in a letter sent to all state units, has stated that remembering new covid waves with other variants and restrictions imposed by several countries and institutions, it has been decided to postpone the tournament, information secretary, the Kanpur chess association Dilip Srivastava.He said according to AICF letter, the player has the option to request a refund of all costs paid or they can maintain their active registration for the event to be held later on.
