Havana: Cuba has detected the first case of the Omicron Coronavirus variant in someone who has traveled from Mozambique, the Cuban ACN media body reported on Wednesday.
Traveler, a health worker who lives in Pinar Del Rio Cuba, returned to the Caribbean Island on November 27 and was tested positive for Covid-19 the following day, according to the ACN report.
Health officials monitor travelers’ contact since arriving in Cuba, said Acn.
