Adelaide: The Australian Regular Test Skipper Pat Cummins has been allowed to return home in Sydney, said the team on Friday, after losing the second ash test that was ongoing in Adelaide because it became close contact from the Covid-19 case.
Cummins was ruled out for hours before the start of the pink ball test against England after dining at the same restaurant as a positive case on Wednesday night.
The 28-year-old child produced a negative test results on Thursday and had been released by the health of South Australia to return home by rented flight, Cricket Australia said.
“Under the plan approved by SA Health, he will drive alone from isolation and then, with the right PPE control and cleanliness, taking one rental run,” CA.
“The Australian Cricket will continue to consult with SA Health to ensure compliance with the plan.” He will continue to observe all the isolation requirements in NSW.
