Mumbai: Worried by many people in tourist attractions, Main Minister Uddhav Thackeray has directed all district administration to ensure Covid-19-related norms followed and the entry of tourists was locked up.
“Cm expressed concern about the crowd in tourist attractions.
He has asked us to implement Covid norms and ensure a fairly worn sentence,” said an official.
Thackeray discussed the district collector after video conferencing with PM Narendra Modi.
“Many countries report the third wave; which also announced it.
Countries with large vaccination populations also report a surge in case.
This shows the need to strictly follow the rules even after vaccination, not only now, but for the next few years,” Thackeray said He directs district authorities to ensure the production and operation of the industry is not stopped even if there is a third wave.
These include taking steps such as timing of staggered offices, pick-up services and drop for employees and temporary residences.
The district has been asked to increase oxygen production.
Thackeray said according to the central projection, there may be nearly 60 lakh cases in the third wave and around 4,000 mt oxygen will be needed.
