Curb wildlife menace at Bramhapuri: Wadettiwar

Chandrapur: Guardian Union Vijay Wadettiwar voiced his concern over increasing cases of predator strike and crop damage caused by wildlife in the region beneath Bramhapuri woods division, during an interview with senior prisoners on Monday.
As many as 19 people are killed and 69 injured by predator strikes in Bramhapuri forests throughout the past few decades.
Wadettiwar stated that there are 85 creatures in the woods under Bramhapuri branch and 51 cities are under the influence of tiger strikes.
He advised the woods officials who aquariums in Bramhapuri have continued significant crop losses because of invasion of wild creatures in agriculture areas and led them to instantly approve the proposition values Rs50 crore for fencing of fringe forest regions underneath the’Dr Shyamaprasad Mukherjee Jan Van Vikas Scheme’.
Wadettiwar had summoned the assembly to take inventory of reduction to individual life and harvest damage from Chandrapur district because of wildlife.
He voiced his distinct apprehension about increasing population of wild boars, which are primarily responsible for crop damage.
He advised PCCF (wildlife) there was an identical issue of crop damage as a result of wild boar intrusion from different districts.
Officials stated that the scope forest officer (RFO) from the region was assigned with the powers to allow the killing of wild boars by farmers in case boars are generating aggravation.
Wadettiwar, but countered the procedure for seeking permission is tough and requires specialists to kill the boars, according to SOP of forest division.
Wadettiwar proposed that the officials to update the coverage linked to coping with wild boars and instantly publish a proposal for controlling the wildlife menace from Bramhapuri woods.
In addition, he advised the officers to cover the impending settlement to those hurt in wildlife strikes, and supply advantage of solar fencing strategy on the farmers.
