Noida / Ghaziabad: Bargaining with garment shop sellers, queues outside Kachori kiosks and roadside vendors calling customers at the top of their voices – scenes chaos and hiruk-hacophoni back to the market in Noida and Ghaziabad after weekends.
At night independence and with Raksha Bandhan only a week, buyers flock to markets in twin cities because the government rises part of the weekend sled.
Even though customers have dripped over the past few weeks, traders and shop owners are very dependent on weekends, when footsteps are the highest.
It is a welcome break for the buyer too.
Many of them employed with private companies said they had hardly had time on weekdays to shop.
“It was very good out on the market on Saturday after a long time.
I am very happy to see the usual sights of people waiting out outside the popular shops and eating their favorite foods.
I don’t have time to bring my family to shop on weekdays Because I returned home late from the office.
Over the years, I have booked a weekend to visit the market.
But the weekend hours have made it difficult, “said Ritesh Singh, a noida resident.
Sarojini Choudhary, another resident, happy to be shopping for Rakhi, which is next Sunday.
“We are not sure if we can celebrate the festival at all because it’s on Sunday.
I was very relieved that the Kuncian had been appointed.” Not only customers, traders wear a smiley face too.
“In the Trans-Hindon Region of Ghaziabad, which has a large population of workers, has become a trend to shop at the weekend.
Locking on weekends has reached our business nearly 40%,” said Anirudh Vasistha from Vaishali Vypau Mandal.
When the market above remains closed on Saturday and Sunday for so long, residents often go to neighbor Delhi to shop or see the internet.
Although the market is allowed to stay open from 6am to 10pm on Saturday, they will remain closed on Sunday.
However, this partial relaxation has provided a lot of hope for many shop owners to return to business that is fast.
Athar Siddiqui, who has a meat shop in the Sector 78, said, “I got some repair work done until July and thought to open the shop after the month of Sawan.
But some people asked me about opening a shop.
I thought I would use a full business Compled on Saturday next Saturday.
“SK Jain, President of the Sector 18 Market Association, said the decision to partly lifted the weekend lockdown was needed for business.
“We suffer a big loss because of a pandemic.
The family used to visit our store to buy garments gradually shift to online shopping.
We hope to do business before Raksha Bandhan,” he added.
