Amravati: The curfew in Amravati Maharashtra City was expanded on Sunday to include four more cities in the district after local BJP leaders protested during bandh, police said.
Meanwhile, a total of 50 people were arrested by the police in connection with the back-toback incident from stingy stones that took place in the city of Amravati on Friday and Saturday.
On Sunday, the situation in Amravati remained peaceful because of eight battalions of the State Reserve police force and the additional number of police personnel were deployed in the city, said the Yashomati Thakur District Guard Minister said.
