JAIPUR: The state government on Wednesday decided to cancel Class X and XII board examinations performed by the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) this season at the background of an alleged third tide of Covid-19 pandemic.
The decision has been taken at a digital assembly of this council of ministers, chaired by chief minister Ashok Gehlot.
About 12,14,512 Class X students and 8,82,112 Course XII students will be impacted by the choice.
The move follows a similar decision taken by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) along with other state boards because of the current Covid scenario in the nation.
The assembly also discussed a bundle for youngsters orphaned by the deaths of parents because of this virus.
“Even though the Centre has announced a package of Rs 10 lakh for these kids, they will find this just when they reach 18 decades old,” said education minister Govid Singh Dotasra.
“Thus, the assembly led the finance division to prepare an agenda to care for their current demand for instruction, boarding, accommodation, etc..” Dotasra additional.
It was decided to launch the next instalment of Rs 1,000 daily for households of destitutes, everyday labourers at June.
The first instalment of Rs 1,000 has been awarded to those families in April itself.
During the initial wave, 33 lakh helpless, destitute and labor families were given support of Rs 3,500 every previous year.
The council of ministers also passed a resolution demanding the central authorities provide free vaccines to childhood at the age category of 18-44 years just like others.
