Agra: Chief Azad Samaj Party (ASP) Chandra Shekhar Aazad on Friday demanded the CBI investigation of the death of Arun Valmiki’s custodian, a sanitation worker Dalit, who was accused of stealing Rs 25 Lakh from the Jagdishpura Police Station ‘Malkhana’, in October, in October 17.
After meeting with Arun family members, Aazad said, “We will hold a Chakka Clock on October 28, if the guilty police involved in the murder are not arrested”.
He said that injustice with Dalit will not be tolerated.
He further said, surprising that the police had registered firmly against unknown police despite knowing the involvement of the interrogation team.
Raising the question of the number of compensation of Rs 10 lakh announced for the Valmiki family, Aazad, said that when Apple Executive, Vivek Tewari, was shot dead by a police officer and when Manish Gupta’s businessman died during a police attack, the government provided compensation for Rs 40 lakh together with government work OSD to their relatives.
“This is discrimination by the government against Dalits,” he said.
Keep in mind that Apple Executive Vivek Tewari, was shot dead by the police on the police in Lucknow in 2018 and Canpur Manish Gupta-based businessman had died during a police attack at Gorakhpur last month.
