Cyber Fraudsters Dupe Victim from RS 2 Crore in Prayagraj Range

Prasagraj: Cyber ​​fraudsters have deceived people in the range of Prayagraj money worth Rs 1.90 Crore in 986 cyber fraud cases, police said.

The statistics expressed by the Range Police on Sunday claimed that a total of 331 cases of cyber fraud were registered in Sangam City between January 1 and June 30 and that 485 old cases were waiting for an investigation.

Likewise, as many as 13 cases of cyber fraud are registered in the Kaushambi district between January 1 and June 30 while 19 old cases are waiting for an investigation.

In the district of Fatehpur, as many as 16 cases were registered between January 1 and June 30 this year while 25 old cases still had to be investigated, taking the total calculation of cyber fraud cases up to 41.

In Pratapgarh Regency, a total of 35 cases of cyber fraud are listed between January 1 and June 30.

Inspector General of Police (Ranges Prayagraj) KP Singh told TOI that a total of 986 cases were registered in the Prayagraj range including 816 in Kaushambi, 41 in Fatehpur and 97 in Pratapgarh and the police have submitted a Chargesheet in 17 final report cases in 26 other cases.
With this, 943 cases including 790 in Prayagraj, 30 in Kaushambi, 32 in Fatehpur and 91 in Pratapgarh are still waiting for an investigation.
While most cases of cyber fraud are waiting in the city of Sangam, Fatehpur and Fatehpur due to lack of evidence, cases in Kaushambi are waiting for verifying the address of the person accused and the absence of arrest.

The police, however, claimed that most cases of cyber fraud in the Prayagraj range were related to withdrawing money from bank accounts.
