KANPUR: Amit Kumar Kushwaha (32), also a native of Chandapurwa village of Kannauj and among the 186 team members that had been rescued by Barge P305 following it awakened through Cyclone Tauktae from the Arabian Sea 60km from Mumbai, narrated the ordeal which lurks in high seas around the night, after returning home on Monday. “Shivers ran down my back later I had been advised to jump in the sea since the Barge was still sinking. This caused a puncture from the Barge and water began gushing from 1 side. After a time, the back part of the boat began thumping and it got loaded. After that occurred, we’re asked to leap in the water. Afterwards, when most of the team members began leaping into the sea, then I also jumped into the ocean. After almost 14 hours, then I had been rescued by the Navy,” stated the blessed Amit, that had a narrow escape from the clutches of death. The status of lots of his coworkers remains to be upgraded, he explained, adding that,”Shortly, I contacted the hospitaland contacted my family in my own native area at Kannauj and educated them about my wellbeing.” Amit’s family and his village, also saluted the Indian Navy for rescuing Amit’s entire life. His family members stated,”We can’t think he is standing residing facing us. Most of us salute the Navy employees for their courageous efforts and also for his life”
