KOLKATA: A group of ham radio operators of this West Bengal Radio Club (Amateur Club) was affected from the South 24 Parganas district management’s crisis management department to aid the district administration in rescue and relief work. The radio operators can offer uninterrupted communication including all the neighboring areas keeping in view the forthcoming Cyclone Yaas. A group of 38 Ham radio operators are now operating along with a temporary channel was set up in Kakdwip for the goal. The staff will offer all help in rescue and relief work because it might be needed in four coastal regions of Mousuni, G-plot, Ghoramara along with Kakdwip subdivision region. “Our staff has already begun working and we’re dispersing all advice regarding the district magistrate. We’re also preserving communication with Kolkata, North 24 Parganas, Howrah and Hoogly from here also are attempting to give uninterrupted communication through some rescue and relief functionality which might be needed,” explained Ambarish Nag Biswas, secretary, and West Bengal Radio Club (Amateur Club) At town, Kolkata Police also has included a group of HAM radio operators in West Bengal Radio Club (Amateur Club) to help the police’s crisis management group.
