NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi may hold a meeting with senior administration officials Sunday to examine the preparations for the upcoming Cyclone Yaas.
“Prime Minister will hold a meeting at 11 AM now with senior administration officials and agents in the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Secretaries by Telecom, Power, Civil aviation, Earth Sciences Ministries to examine preparations against the forthcoming Cyclone Yaas,” sources said.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah along with other ministers may also join the assembly.
Together with Odisha and West Bengal bracing for cyclonic storm Yaas, the Indian Army on Saturday advised it has organized scientist and columns job forces are still on standby for relief and rescue operations.
Additionally, before Cyclone Yaas, that is very likely to make landfall across the Bengal-Odisha shore between May 24 and May 26, the Northern Hemisphere has inadvertently cancelled more than several dozen trains in the federal capital to from Bhubaneswar and Puri from Odisha.
The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) has also geared up to match the probable challenges against the growing cyclonic storm Yaas about the east shore.
Besides this, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had reviewed the preparedness to its cyclonic storm.
