Nicosia: Cyprus has submitted another path to the United Nations Security Council for the transfer of part of the coastal city left on the Ethnic Split Island with Turkish Cyprus control, said Foreign Minister on Wednesday.
Cypriot and Turkey authorities said on Tuesday that a small portion of Varosha left behind leaving fenced to rot for 47 years, it would be under civil control for the potential resettlement.
“This is a clear violation of the resolution of the UN Security Council and will have a negative impact on the efforts being made to restart the discussion,” Foreign Minister Nikos Christodoulides after meeting with Dendia Greece Nikos Dendias.
