LONDON: Republic of Daniel Kretinsky billionaire has completed his 27 percent share purchase in West Ham, the Premier League club announced on Wednesday.
West Ham said in a statement “it was intended” the Kretinsky and his colleague Pavel Horsky would become a member of the Board at the London Stadium together with the chairman of David Sullivan and David Gold and Deputy Chairperson of Karren Brady.
The London club said the agreement would help reduce long-term debt and continue “positive progress” made in recent years.
“On behalf of the council I was very happy to welcome Daniel Kretinsky, Pavel Horsky and (investment group) 1890 A.ş’s ownership to West Ham United,” Brady said.
“We are always looking to move forward and Daniel’s involvement brings investment that strengthens the club’s position and in turn will help in the development of the club’s main field focus.” David Sullivan and David Gold are always very open about finding the right investors to join them on the way as guards of West Ham United and Daniel business sharpness and soccer strong experiences will be great for the club.
“Kretinsky, who is the co-owner of the Spartan club.
