Vadodara: Dahod Supervisor of Police (SP) Hitesh Joysar was tested positive for Covid-19 on Friday.
Health officials have begun the process of identifying close contact and isolating it.
Joysar felt unwell and got himself tested for Covid-19.
The source said that his wife was also tested positively and both in house isolation with mild symptoms.
One year old girl was also tested positively and taken to Zydus Hospital in Dahod for treatment.
The source said that infants may have been infected by close contact previously tested.
Overall, 17 people were tested positively in Dahod District on Friday.
These include 16 in Dahod and one in Devgadh Baria.
The district now has 57 active cases.
